Holiday Poinsettias Downloadable Pattern

When you purchase a downloadable Holiday Poinsettias pattern, you will have access to a 10-minute video with tips on hooking the Poinsettias. I show my techniques to shade in an impressionistic style and describe how many values of the same color you should use when hooking the flower petals and leaves.

Pattern dimensions 29x24.75 inches

“Some assembly required”. The pattern will print out on letter sized 8.5x11 inch paper in 12 sheets, and will need to be taped together. Each individual page is labeled and numbered to help reduce any guesswork of how to assemble the pieces. The leaves, berries, and stamens have been colored accordingly, so it’s easier to see the flower petals.

The flower petals and leaves are outlined using jagged lines (to achieve a watercolor effect when blending colors). These jagged lines are not captured when the pattern is reduced in size, so it can be taken to a print shop for enlargement. Since most households do not have access to a plotter (printer), the design has to be made available in it’s actual size, and made to accommodate 8.5×11 inch paper.
